So many of my pieces are 11" x 14", 16" x 20", 18" x 18", etc. I have this urge to work really big (but my space cannot accommodate large canvases!) and also tiny. Below are just 2 mini canvases I worked on recently. It was a lot of fun! I'm working on a few mini canvases to offer at the show in Plymouth next month.
Of Norwegian origin, Kristin Vestgård studied for her degree at Falmouth College of Art. She sold all her paintings in her degree show, and Falmouth College of Art purchased the biggest painting for their own collection.
"Originally from California, Georgia moved to Australia in 1984 with her husband to develop a Cotton Farm an hour west of Moree in outback New South Wales. While living in the Bush, Georgia painted as a creative outlet and a way to cope with the isolation and loneliness of a new lifestyle in a strange but fascinating new country."
You can read more about her fascinating life and work here. Below I want to show you only a handful of her pieces and see more of her work on her site. I can thank Facebook for introducing me to many, wonderful people, one of them being Georgia.
Doing my first art show next month is going to be really exciting. It's also a little nerve-wracking. It doesn't help being a perfectionist either. We did a dry run this weekend and although I still have a lot to do, overall I think it will be ok.
Claire Desjardins is passionate about contemporary abstract art – in particular, the relationship between colour and form.
Lari Washburn focuses primarily on "surface quality, particularly line quality and pattern. I want my work to captivate and refresh people purely through a visual experience, without involving the intellect."
Gerard Stricher is an artist from France. He paints with passion and fury to express his vision of the world.
So excited to be among the sellers on Hand Made in Michigan! A way to support local products in Michigan and help bring our economy back.
Unique. Hand-Crafted. All made in Michigan. Welcome to the world of Hand Made in Michigan, an Etsy-like website with over 2800 products (and growing), all hand-made from over 175 artisans and crafts people from across the state of Michigan.
The design side of Sweet-Sprout Designs has given me the opportunity to work with brides and grooms across the United States to send out the first piece of mail their loved one's will receive from them as a true couple.
I've added a section on the WEDDING INVITATIONS tab to share some kind words I've received from couples. It is the best payback.
I will also be exhibiting at two upcoming bridal shows in August through Brides-to-Be.

. . . artist and designer,
. . . wife and mom
My ultimate goal is to show my kids to find their passion and make it their life work.
Here I post my current paintings, stationery, pattern and graphic design projects along with inspiring images that spark my creativity.
I hope throughout my site YOU are inspired, even in some small way, to bring creativity into your own life. For me, sometimes it proves to be my only sanity!
