Molly Martino is a California based artist behind Turas Anama Art.  Turas Anama means "Soul Journey" in Irish Gaelic.  I love that because we are all on that type of  journey._

Learning To Let Go

As with some New Year's resolutions, more often then not they don't last.  We are entering the 3rd week of the New Year... I was going to try with my "sketchbook" section to do a drawing a day.  Honestly, I don't love drawing.  I do want to get better at it but when I have so little time to do the things I love, painting has won.  Sometimes I put too much pressure on myself to do everything and this year I have decided that if it's not good for me and if it doesn't make me happy, then I won't do it.  Drawing is not making me happy; it's making me feel stressed.  I will still sketch from time to time but every day I will devote to painting.  I feel really good letting this go.
