This past weekend was my first time visiting the
Yellow Door Art Market in Berkley, MI - showcasing handmade items from over 60 local artists! It was a beautiful day but the best thing is that it's indoors which makes it easier to visit year round. Below are just a few of the items that caught my eye.

Simply amazing. Getty Dalton has the kind of extreme patience I think every parent would love to have! He uses only a blade, sewing needle and a bright light - not even a magnifying glass. Some of these mini pencil sculptures may take months to create because he only works on them for an hour and a half each day to protect his vision.
I love seeing all of the pieces I chose and cut - ready to be assembled. It's so much fun!

I would love to have in my home one day an exposed brick wall or a wall made of re-purposed wood. I love the rustic, genuine feel. Who knew it would translate so well onto wallpaper?
