TokyoMilk  |  Honey & The Moon  |  No. 10 Parfum

I was in Anthropologie with a friend of mine who bought this.  One spray was all it took on my wrist and I could still smell it that night!  Strong scents and some perfumes usually bother me a bit, but this was so unique and mild.  This will be on my shelf soon!  I love the design of their website and packaging also.

This past weekend was my first time visiting the Yellow Door Art Market in Berkley, MI - showcasing handmade items from over 60 local artists!  It was a beautiful day but the best thing is that it's indoors which makes it easier to visit year round.  Below are just a few of the items that caught my eye.

Simply amazing.  Getty Dalton has the kind of extreme patience I think every parent would love to have!  He uses only a blade, sewing needle and a bright light - not even a magnifying glass.  Some of these mini pencil sculptures may take months to create because he only works on them for an hour and a half each day to protect his vision.

It's bitter sweet to say goodbye to summer so let's do one last post on flip flops before those winter boots come out!

Paperflops are flip flops and sandals made from recycled newspaper.

PaperFlops is a creative workshop that employs underprivileged people including street children and disabled people throughout Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This workshop trains and educates these people in arts and crafts to creating amazing products so they can be entirely self-sufficient.

The workshop creates various unique handmade products made from recycled and up-cycled newspapers and other natural materials. All of the materials used in our workshop are environmentally friendly and sustainable. The products produced in our workshop include flip flops, sandals, bags, pencil boxes, and more.

I would love to have in my home one day an exposed brick wall or a wall made of re-purposed wood.  I love the rustic, genuine feel.  Who knew it would translate so well onto wallpaper?

I really don't want to let go of my hold onto summer but Fall is coming this week!  Even this weekend weather feels a bit "fall-ish".  I'm sad to see summer go yet again but I LOVE Fall and what a better way to embrace it then with our first Fall fest this weekend, apple picking and a yummy caramel apple parfait.  Click thru for the recipe.
