I love my new date stamper from SMASH! Their whole product line is great. I used my SMASH journal for design inspiration I find and I have a separate one for home interiors that I love.   For all of the graphic design computer work I do, I LOVE getting back to plain old colored pencils and crayons sometimes. It's back-to-school time and I have always loved new supplies and the smell of freshly sharpened pencils. Crazy, I know.  I love this quote I read today via The Wink from Steve Jobs commencement speech in 2005. Definitely words to live by. Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.  Hope my East Coast family and friends remain safe.  A few days ago I discovered this site, Valleys in the Vinyl, and have fallen in love with the rustic, grunge backgrounds he posts. Valleys in the Vinyl "is a celebration of texture as its own artform." A great site to be visually inspired. Below are just 3 images I grabbed to show. I'm also not sure yet how I want this blog to flow or if there should be any path at all. I think I'll just wing it and learn as I go.
